Fare Information
Fares shown are in pounds sterling and refer to the APPROXIMATE cost per
person in a standard outside double or twin bedded cabin with private
shower and wc.
Superior and Owner’s cabins and suites are often also available and
fares for sole occupancy or single cabins can be obtained on request.
Fares are normally inclusive of all meals, port taxes, booking fee and,
in some cases, deviation insurance. This is an insurance premium which
German shipping companies pay and pass on to passengers. It covers any
losses sustained by the shipping company in the event of an emergency
concerning a passenger, resulting in the vessel having to deviate from
its intended route to, for example, the nearest port. The shipping
company is the sole beneficiary of deviation insurance and passengers
are also required to take out their own personal insurance to cover them
for emergency medical expenses, cancellation, etc.
Where the shipping company prices the fare in euros, an exchange rate of
€1 = £1 is applied. Fares priced in other currencies, such as US
dollars or Australian dollars can vary due to exchange rate
fluctuations. Fares also change due to alterations to voyage durations,
etc., therefore the fares shown are subject to alteration and should be
taken only as a guide.
In many cases it is possible to take sectors of voyages other than those
listed (though shorter durations may not be available) fares are
available on request.
